Lexus dropped a bombshell on the US with the first LS. This was the first competitor to ze Germans, and it made Mercedes and BMW take note (Audi was still sniffing glue). Acura makes nice Hondas that no one wants. Infiniti makes luxury sport sedans that no one wants because they aren’t BMWs.

Yeah but Acura was first, I’m not saying Acura is better but I am saying Acura was 4 years earlier than the other 2 and therefore the first Japanese luxury brand

Hydrox was first too, but everyone loves Oreos.

True story, although Lexus has moved upmarket now and it makes less sense to compare Lexus to Acura anymore, so why not both?

Because praising Acura at all is verboten around these parts.

Hydrox sounds like a 1910s home remedy product made out of petroleum distillate and hydrogen peroxide that claims to add vigor and youth.

Incorrect. The TLX is a great looking car and the TSX was one for the ages, but the RLX is an also-ran and has been since it was the RL in the mid-2000s. They just don’t do anything to impress anymore. The SUVs and Crossovers are good, but their sedans are lacking.

I mean, I agree with that assessment. Were I in the market again I would strongly consider an IS350. Or a TSX wagon.
